In the illustrated reference book prepared by the English architect Roxanne Mc Donald, there is practically no text material. To obtain the necessary information, the method of visualization of concepts was used, when each stage of design and construction is reflected in drawings equipped with corresponding construction and architectural terms, which allows you to unambiguously understand these terms and use them in practice.
In the five sections of the books, a series of illustrations are consistently presented that reflect the processes of design and construction, as well as diagrams devoted to legal, administrative and financial issues of the project to preceding the construction itself. The illustrations of the last section reflect the problems of "environmentally friendly" construction and construction risks associated with natural anomalies. Applications completing the reference book are added in the preparation of the Russian version of the directory. This includes a list of regulatory documents operating in the territory of the Russian Federation, and a sample of the architectural and planning task for construction.
The reference book can be useful to architects and specialists engaged in the design, construction or restoration of buildings, students of architectural and construction universities, as well as a wide range of readers interested in construction and architecture
