Lyubov Popova was born in the estate of Krasnovidovo (the village of Ivanovo, Moscow province) She studied in the studios of famous artists in Moscow (including Vladimir Tatlin), Paris, Italy, traveled a lot around Russia and Western Europe. After enthusiasm for cubotourism and cubism, the artist came to her own variant of indescribable art, which combines the flatness and linearity of ancient Russian painting, and the techniques of Suprematism. However, by 1921, Popova stopped creating easel paintings and completely switched to designing women"s clothing, developing tissue sketches for the first sitting factory, and also continued to work in printing. Its drawings for fabric are amazing diversity, the artist managed to discover new forms and rhythms for art, thereby establishing herself as one of the most striking representatives of the Russian avant -garde.
