The book discusses theoretical and practical aspects of agribusiness holding in Russia: it provides a definition of an agro-holding, its place in the agribusiness system, analyzes the prerequisites for the formation and spread, offers methodologies for identifying and classifying agro-holdings, evaluates their role in agriculture as a whole and in its individual sub-sectors, recommends indicators for assessing the level of holdingization, and classifies the subjects of the Russian Federation based on the degree of agro-holdings' prevalence. The study evaluates the comparative economic efficiency of land, labor, and capital utilization in organizations that are part of agro-holdings and those that are not, analyzes the social, environmental, and epidemiological risks of large businesses in agriculture, formulates a series of recommendations regarding changes in the system of state support for agricultural producers, stimulating the development of various forms of interaction between large agribusiness and small businesses in rural areas.
