The book is dedicated to Hitlerism as a special period in the history of Germany. It describes the essence of this movement and its main characteristics, but the main focus is on explaining Hitlerism and attempting to understand the reasons for the Holocaust. The author presents arguments that in the crimes committed by this regime, Hitler and his associates are primarily to blame, but it is also important not to forget that huge masses of people, with their traditions, national character traits, and archetypal values, fell under the influence of Hitlerism. Special attention is paid to the crowd as the most susceptible, trusting, and manageable part of society, in which all its social strata can be represented.
