The book presents a model development of domestic socio-political thought from the earliest manifestations of ethno-confessional discourse to the completion in connection with the collapse of the Soviet Union of the Soviet ideological project. Special attention is paid to the state ideology of Russia and the authoritative representation at different historical stages. Political theories are considered in relation to Russian civilizational identity and in the context of the historical conflict "Russia - West". The reproducible matrix of Russian social consciousness is reconstructed according to periods of domestic history. It is aimed at use in the educational process in higher educational institutions in the preparation of bachelors studying in the fields of pedagogical education, historical profiles, history, and political science.
