The textbook examines Russian literature of the Silver Age in the context of Russian and foreign cultures. Periodization, content, and poetics of literature are presented here in connection with intra-literary processes and the influence of historical factors. The main part of the book, dedicated to poetry, prose, and drama, is preceded by a section on humanitarian consciousness, which occupied, troubled, and inspired people of the era that ended the New Time and began the Newest Time, an era that marked the beginning of the modernization of all forms of art. The introductory section includes an overview of trends in painting, theater, music - in connection with processes in fine literature. Overview paragraphs are supplemented with paragraphs dedicated to the most significant writers. The textbook complies with the requirements of the latest generation of federal state educational standards for higher education, is intended for undergraduate students of philological faculties, will be useful for graduate students, postgraduates, participants of advanced training courses, and teachers of humanities specialties.
