For the first time, a course of lectures was published, read at the Institute of Philosophy, Theology and Stories of St. Thomas in the spring semesters of 2002 and 2003, an attempt was made to disassemble the response of the leading European and domestic thought to the challenge of modernity. The definitions are considered, in which a strict philosophy sees the world, its present situation and its task. The history of the new philosophy, starting with Hegel and Hegelian schools, is thought out as a single continuing work of understanding the human situation in the world. The hypothesis is checked, according to which the problems of the whole world, identity, nothing and nihilism, ontology, as ethics, decisive for the fate of modern civilization, is consciously or unconsciously put by leading thinkers of the last two centuries into the center of their interests. A number of tasks remaining new in the framework of the existing historiography are defined: show the essential identity of Christianity criticism at the early Hegel and Nietzsche, Nitszhevsky thought about the eternal reckoning and theory of the world of Wittgenstein, experiences (Erlebnis) Wilhelm Diltea and Presence (Dasein) in its authenticity of Heidegger And Dr. for all who are passionate about philosophy
