This book is an emerced and reworked edition of the first textbook on the history of landscape architecture.
A tutorial covers the entire path of development of landscape architecture from antiquity before making it, in the middle of the 20th century, in an independent profession. Much attention is paid to the analysis of the most important monuments of landscape architecture of both Russia and various regions of the world, development trends are considered. The book is clearly illustrated by photographs and original author"s graphics.
