The book is devoted to a little studied topic in the history of German literature - the literature of the Time of Third Reich. The origins of the official Nazi literature and the literary directions associated with it, as well as attempts by opposition-minded writers and representatives of the T. N. "internal emigration" to make an encrypted criticism of the Nazi regime. The book presents the periodization of the literary process of Germany of this era and the creative characteristics and biographical references are given on the leading authors of both official and opposition.
