The textbook covers the process of historical development of the domestic economy from the time of Ancient Rus" to the present. The presentation of the material is given in the relationship and mutual influence of the history of the economy and the history of domestic economic thought against the backdrop of the universal history of our Fatherland. These three main elements of the general historical process in any country (naturally, in Russia) predetermine the content and consequences of the main processes and events in the economic life of society. The authors of the work did not strive for the excessive detail of the historical process of socio-economic development, but focused on the main attention on especially significant events and phenomena of the history of Russian economy and economic thought.
