The book about Ermak, conqueror of Siberia, belongs to the pen of a recognized classic of the historical and biographical genre Ruslan Grigoryevich Skrynnikov. Based on a painstaking analysis of extensive documentary material, it recreates the grandiose panorama of the expedition of Russian Cossacks, led by Ataman Ermak Timofeevich (1582-1585), which resulted in the accession to the Russian state of Siberia.
