This book is about Yalta and Yalta in the First World War. The facts and events given in the book were taken by the author mainly from the newspapers "Russian Riviera", "Bulletin of the South", "Yalta Bulletin", "Yalta Life". Yalta had no direct attitude to the theater of military operations, except for the 15-minute shelling of the city on January 26, 1915 by the German-Turkish cruiser "Breslau". At the same time, the Yalta residents provided invaluable assistance to the front with donations, food, and uniforms, they created committees for assistance to soldiers, the families of the militia warriors, received refugees, opened the infirmas in their homes, built sanatoriums. Yalta became a place of treatment for thousands of wounded officers and lower ranks - all the conditions were created here for their speedy recovery
