The book explores and analyzes the most important events of the historical and modern existence of Russia and its geopolitical environment. The description of these events uses a civilizational approach, which is based on the author’s concept of global historical sociocultural development, which determines the formation of civilizational structures. In this context, Russia is considered as a special and self -set civilizational model, which has passed the thousand -year stage of fitting, adjustments and tuning and entering the era of its own civilizational and geopolitical domination. It is noted that geopolitics as a way of realizing the interests of dominant states in global geographical spaces is a derivative of the possibilities of the cultural and civilizational matrix.
Russian civilization (or Russian world) was created in the historical space of Russian statehood, including the USSR, with the direct participation of all ethnic communities inhabiting and inhabiting it. In the process of historical interaction, these communities formed a sociocultural platform, strengthened by the variety of ethnocultural and ethnic confessional communities.
The definition of Russian civilization given in the book, which is being replaced by the Euro-Atlantic civilization and geopolitical domination, allows you to formulate the image or project of the future that is absolutely necessary for the existence of society, filling it with meanings, ideas and planes. The image that can ensure the effectiveness of the social organism, state stability, economic well-being, moral and legal foundations and balance of political interests
