The book "Women and Power in the Moscow Kingdom of the XV - beginning of the XVII century." It is written in the traditions of a direction actively developed in historical science, associated with the identification of the role of personality in history. This work can be considered as a continuation of the works of SB Veselovsky, A.A. Zimina, V.D. Nazarova, M.E. Bychkova and others, dedicated to the formation of court elites, the sovereign of the court in the actively developing Russian state of the XV-XVII centuries.
Since the sources have little information about the own state activities of most wives of the Russian rulers of this period (with the exception of Elena Glinskaya), the main attention is paid to the importance of marriages with them. Why exactly this girl was chosen as a wife to the sovereign, what role her relatives played at the sovereign court, whether this was reflected in the history of their family, whether each specific marriage in general affected the country"s foreign and domestic policy.
The study was carried out on the basis of such insufficiently studied sources as wedding ranks and discharge books. They supplemented their data from assembly material and annals.
The book is designed for the widest circle of readers, including historians, students and schoolchildren and all lovers of Russian history
