High riding was one of the few types of physical activity available to women of the past. The main question examined by the author is the transformation of a female suit for riding during its dynamic formation. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the development of a tracksuit in the context of the history of modern Olympism and the female egalitarian movement. The emphasis is on the history of equestrian sport of the highest achievements, which determines the marginal capabilities of a person and horse. A significant place is given to the study of the cut, manufacturing technologies and manners of wearing a riding costume. The monograph contains a significant number of illustrations, most of which are published for the first time.
