The book is dedicated to one of the most dramatic pages in the history of England - the war of the scarlet and white roses, a series of dynastic armed conflicts of 1455–1485, which unfolded during the struggle for power between the two branches of the Plantagenet dynasty - Lancasters and Yorki - and ended with the victory of Henry Tudor from the lateral branch Lancaster, the founder of the dynasty, who is then the rules of England for more than a hundred years. Considering such a contradictory historical period, David Grammites consistently reveals the points of view of modern historians, using numerous latest data, including those received by himself during his scientific research. In an accessible form, telling about this confrontation and making a review of historical sources dedicated to it, the author represents the war and white rose in the context of the personal experience of contemporaries of events and shows changes in the society that it became.
