The book “Walking by Sounds” is a printed version of the radio program of the same name, for more than five years weekly published at the Silver Rain radio station. In the program - and in the book - its author, journalist and critic Lev Gankin, popularly talks about popular music (including this set in virtually all non -academic and non -jazz entries), and the heroes of the releases are both superstars and unfairly underestimated artists: the latter is given a rare airtime Time, and for the former, according to tradition, a fresh, non -shaking view of the review is searched. The local goal is to introduce listeners and readers to the maximum number of bright and talented songs and albums, superior-to understand exactly how pop music developed in the last half a century and why. Therefore, “walking on sounds” is not just a peppy jogging in your favorite hits, but an attempt for each of them to see a specific human fate, as well as enter them into the social and cultural context of the era
