In the Soviet Union after the end of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. With varying degrees of intensity, reforms in the field of economics and social life took place. Their initiators were Soviet leaders - I.V. Stalin, N.S. Khrushchev, L.I. Brezhnev and M.S. Gorbachev. If the first three tried to modernize, "communize" and stabilize the Soviet system, transform it in accordance with the challenges of the time, then the last Soviet leader, guided by the same good intentions, wested the system and thereby led it to death.
