In recent years, in Ukraine, many works have been published in its history, some of which even claim to be used as textbooks and teaching aids for schoolchildren or students. Based on these works, curriculums are built, and all this time, the younger generation took place on them all this time. At the same time, a number of provisions of these textbooks and teaching aids are not only controversial, but also consciously distorting historical events that are quite rich in the Earth, only in Soviet times they have received the status of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, and after 1991 - an independent Ukrainian state.
For the objectivity of the presentation of the material at the beginning of each section of the book, the thesis of the vision of this historical period by the leading Ukrainian historians of the 90s? X - the beginning of the 2000s, and then the author’s material developed on the basis of archival sources, official historical research and scientific articles is proposed leading scientists-historians of the XIX-early XXI centuries.
