Russia and China were now able to challenge the United States, which were an indisputable global leader after 1991. In such a situation, many immediately have a desire to look behind the curtain of world history and try to see a deeper, metaphysical and meta -chistorical meaning of the events, and at the same time try to predict what the end of this great battle will be. In search of answers to these questions, people have always turned to ancient - and not very ancient - predictions. Such a genre as political prophecies arose in the ancient East. Of course, not all such literature should be taken seriously. In our work, we will turn only to some texts, which, it seems to us, can shed light on the current events. It will be primarily about predictions dating back to two famous people, who others were considered prophets and seer. This is the French astrologer of the XVI century Michelle Nostradamus and the Bulgarian clairvoyant of the twentieth century Vangeelia Pandev Gushterov, better known to the wide audience as Vanga. The choice of these two personalities may seem quite random, but it is primarily dictated by the fact that in their heritage it was possible to detect prophetic texts, possibly associated with modern Russian history. On the other hand, it is the predictions made by these historical personalities that cause the most interest in the modern Russian audience. And finally, we have good reason to consider them true
