The collapse of the British Transatlantic Liner “Titanic” on the night of April 14 to 15, 1912 became one of the largest and most iconic marine disasters and one of the most documented and described events of general history. At the same time, in popular literature and the Internet, distorted, simplified views, unilateral interpretations, obsolete, incomplete data and all kinds of myths and speculations associated with both the court itself and the causes and circumstances of its tragic death are widely. In his third book on Titanic, the author on the material of the latest publications and research, mainly English -speaking, is analyzing and refuting some of the most common, persistent and odious myths and errors of modern Titanicology.
The speed mode of the vessel is also analyzed when the ice zone passes, the features of the organization of visual surveillance by watchman are revealed, new details of the collision with the iceberg (its possible contact with the surface side) and the immersion course with alternate roll to the right and left side.
