The monograph is devoted to the history of the interaction of the state and the church in Toulouse (418-507) and the Toled kingdoms of the Visigoths (507-Oct. 713) The Toulouse kingdom was the first of the so-called Romano-War kingdoms that arose in the Western Roman Empire. The Toleled Kingdom of the first of such quasi -political formations has gone all the way from the region formally subordinate to Rome, which is usurized by the Roman military leader of barbaric origin, to a full and self -sufficient state, that Western model of the empire, which later received comprehensive development in the system of Carolingian statehood. In the era, when the institutions of public power, inherited from the Roman past, experienced a deep crisis, the church and the doctrines emanating from it acted as a connecting link, uniting a degrading system of power and an atomizing society. In these conditions, the text created by intellectuals from among the clergy acted both as a reflection of the surrounding reality and as a means of its transformation (including political and ideological) Muslim invasion at the beginning of the VIII century. It laid the end of the history of the Kingdom of Toleks, but could not destroy its colossal cultural and political-ideological heritage
