The monograph is a comprehensive study of the historiography of the Jonah monastery, where the most significant monuments of medieval Irish literature were created - the “Life of St. Columbus" Adamnan and the first Irish chronicle.
For the first time in the history of Russian science, as part of one study, aspects of sources of the history of early medieval Ireland are highlighted.
The book also includes the full translation of the Life of St. Columbus (from Latin) and the translation of one of the Route Annals - "Annals Ulster" for 563-713.
