Methods of SMERSH and cunning of military counterintelligence from a personnel employee.
Frank memories of the combat work of the legendary main counterintelligence department "Death to spies!". The whole truth about the fight against the German agent, scouts and saboteurs, about the “comb” of the territory in the frontline and “sealing work” (introduction into German intelligence officers and intelligence schools), the hunt for the enemy reconnaissance groups and sophisticated radio games, power detentions and shootouts ...
The fate of Leonid Georgievich Ivanov (1918-2015) is unique. In 1939, having graduated with honors, the NKVD school, he was sent to Western Ukraine, where he personally participated in detentions and shootings with local nationalists-"unovites". Being a personnel military counterintelligence, he went through the entire Great Patriotic War from the first and until the last minute-he took the first battle at dawn on June 22, 1941 on the Soviet-Romanian border. He participated in the defense of Odessa and the famous Kerch-Feodosia landing, miraculously survived on the terrible days of the Kerch disaster (and mercilessly truthfully spoke about this in his memoirs) He went from the operative of the rifle battalion to the head of the counterintelligence department of Smersh of the 5th Shock Army. The Battle of Stalingrad and the Yasko-Chisinau operation, Warsaw and Berlin, two heavy shells, 9 combat orders, more than 30 exposed Abwehr agents (Ten forces, Ivanov spent alone).
In the victorious May of 1945, Major Ivanov participated in the provision of the procedure for signing the act on the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany through the SMERSHALISH ... about all this Leonid Georgievich spoke in detail in his book
