A brief guide guide is the result of the many years of work of the local history group to study the source of the Western Dvina, the place of which was established in 1986 by the expedition of the journal Tourist. It contains information on the history of the study of the source, its improvement, a map and a list of attraction and commemorative places, a brief toponymic dictionary, as well as a list of literature are presented. The application publishes the chapter "near the origins of the Western Dvina" Essay on the geographer D.N. Anuma "from a trip to the origins of the Dnieper, Western Dvina and Volga."
