This book is about law as a normative form of freedom, about its role in the development of Russia, in solving domestic and international problems, in the fight against many -faced legal deferred: whether it is arbitrariness and lawlessness, dehumanization and immoralism, aggressive archaic and new fascist barbarism. She is about the legal path of Russia, about the Russian reality in its relationship with fundamental legal principles, such as legal equality and justice, the priority of human rights, and the rule of law. And also - about the spirit of the law in the context of sociocultural factors, about the dangers of separation of legislation from moral regulators, on the constitutional identity of the Russian state as a sovereign subject of international and global relations, about the need to build a new just world order.
This work was prepared on the basis of lectures read by the author at the International St. Petersburg Law Forum in 2011-2017.
