Stories, probably, more than any other science, have to deal with distortions of truth. Often these distortions are systemic in nature - and the proposed book sets its task to restore historical justice where it was violated, perhaps the most ambitious way in history. Modern ideas about ancient civilization have nothing to do with reality - and this happens not because we have a small number of sources (this is far from the case), but because too often historians thoughtlessly accept direct misinformation on faith. Meanwhile, the methodology of historical science is quite developed to establish truth. This book, on the example of the analysis of the famous "Argonautics" Apollonia of the Rhodes, makes it possible to see the ancient civilization as it really was - infinitely more complex, meaningful and deep, which is accepted now
