Among the tasks of building the future post -revolutionary Russia, the issue of the agrarian structure of Russian villages was the most acute, since the country"s economic development depended on its correct resolution. In November 1917, the third All -Russian Congress of the League of Agrarian Reforms -a Normal Organization was held, the main task of which was an ordered discussion of the agrarian issue.
The book "Nature of the peasant economy and land regime" is the reprint of the 1918 publication and includes two reports of the economist and sociologist A. V. Chayanov (1888-1937) and doctors of economic sciences N.P. Makarov (1886-1980 ) who performed at this congress with proposals for the development and implementation of new agrarian reform.
