In 1144, near the walls of Norvich, a city in East England, a mutilated corpse of the young apprentice of William was found. In the city, and soon beyond its borders, rumors passed, as if murder - the work of Jews, who wanted to abuse the Christian faith. It is from this event that the bloody vet leads its story - the accusation of Jews of the practice of ritual murders of Christians. In her book, the American researcher Emily Rose first studied in detail the source of one of the most gloomy anti -Semitic myths, which centuries flourished in the mass consciousness.
