This is a book about the captain and his ship named "Clementine". The sailor tells the story of his ship since the early 1930s, when it was built at the shipyard, and until his death. Having stepped aboard "Clementine" as a boy, he spent almost his whole life on this cargo ship, having traveled from Yungi to the captain. With Klementina, he was able to see the whole world: Havana and Valencia, Panama and New York, Lisbon and Liverpool. “Clementine "visited peaceful cargoes in the most exotic countries, during the war through the waters of the Arctic carried ammunition and equipment for the Red Army, and at the end of its long working life, found peace on the seabed. The captain stood behind the helm of his "Clementine" until her death. Together they make a trip to life.
The ship and its story come to life in the amazing, detailed illustrations of Roberto Innochenti, which show how the world has changed from the 1930s to the 1980s.
