The monograph presents an analysis of the specifics of various mechanisms of verbalization of performativity in the genre of the International Convention of the English -language legal discourse. Appeal to legal discourse and the language of law is extremely extremely, relevant and socially significant, since legal linguistics today is one of the dynamically developing branches of knowledge regulating various aspects of the activity of modern society. The work on the material of authentic legal documents shows and substantiated the author"s classification of performative units actively used in the English -language texts of international agreements, a comprehensive parameterization of the legal discursive sphere was carried out and key mechanisms characterizing the language of law are described.
