There is not so much known about the case of the captain of the first rank Alexei Mikhailovich Shark. It lay in the classified KGB archives for more than 70 years and was overgrown with numerous myths and rumors. He was ascended to the tops of the political life of Russia, touched the helm of the state ship and was thrown back from him.
He committed an undoubted feat, withdrawing a Baltic fleet from Helsinki and Tallinn and retaining 236 warships and auxiliary ships for the homeland, which later played a significant role in the battles of the Great Patriotic War.
Alien both among the Bolsheviks and among the white movement, he failed in an attempt to become the leader of the Baltic Fleet and at the same time saved his at the cost of his own life
