Kovalevich was a convinced opponent of the Bolsheviks and participated in the struggle against them, which led in 1919 to the famous terrorist attack in Leontyevsky Lane (the anarchists tried to blow up the leadership of the Moscow Committee of the RCP (b)), the punitive process and executions
