The training manual complies with the requirements stated in the Federal State Educational Standard, and is the 5th processed publication. The development of the state and law of Russia from 1917 to 1991 is considered. Through a brief review of the country"s historical and legal development, extracts from documents, methodological support. It consists of four chapters that consider the periods of formation, development, crisis and collapse of the Soviet state. The emphasis on historiography and source studies aims to help students in independent work with literature in the preparation of reports, coursework and thesis.
