The fourth volume of the collective monograph "History of the Court and Justice in Russia" is devoted to the judiciary and proceedings of the period of bourgeois-democratic reforms (1864-1881) The work analyzes the historical and legal problems of the preparation, content, conduct of the judicial reform of 1864, as well as the military-subsistent reform of 1867, a detailed description of all types of courts operating in the country in the second half of the XIX century (general imperial, extraordinary, special - courts of ordinary law, commercial, administrative "courts"), and the problems of procedural law are also highlighted. The legal framework for the activities of the auxiliary bodies of justice (preliminary investigation authorities, prosecutor"s office, advocacy, etc) are analyzed.
