Arthur Weigall, a well -known English Egyptologist, traces the history of Ancient Egypt in his book in the era of the rule of pharaohs of the XII - XVIII dynasties. Based on the data obtained during the reconstruction of the inscription on the palemic stone and the decryption of the Turin papyrus, Weigall builds a new chronology of the events of the described period. On the basis of objects of material culture and preserved texts, Weigall gives an idea of the way of life, culture and traditions of the Egyptians. Of particular interest is the ancient literary work included in this work - the “wanderings of the Sinheta”, the action of which takes place during the reign of the pharaohs of the XII dynasty of Amenemhet I and Senustert I
