The author, based on an interdisciplinary approach, addresses the question of the deep premises of the growth of the Bulgarian national liberation movement in Macedonia and Thrace in the late XIX - early XX centuries. He concludes that the Bulgarian National Revolution in Macedonia was possible as a result of the combination of a whole set of specific prerequisites - from demographic and economic to related to social psychology, information revolution and a change in collective ideas. At the same time, the author leaves the classical methods of traditional historical science, based on three constants - a personality, date, event, fully focusing their attention on the so -called mental structures of the Bulgarian -Macedonian society, as well as factors that contributed to their evolution in the last quarter of the XIX XX V
