The author of the book Yuri Shutov is a Russian political and public figure, a publicist. In the first half of the 1990s. He was an assistant to one of the "fathers" of modern Russian democracy and the first mayor of St. Petersburg Anatoly Sobchak and was part of his "St. Petersburg group".
Later, Yu. Shutov divorced the "St. Petersburg" and took the post of chairman of the St. Petersburg Commission of the State Duma of the Russian Federation to analyze the results of privatization.
In February 1999, he was arrested, and despite the fact that the court justified him, Yu. Shutov was a second time arrested directly in the meeting room and sentenced to life imprisonment in 2006. In December 2014, he died in a prison for life -sentenced White Swan.
