In the evening of June 3, 1943, in Moscow, on the stairs of the Bolshoi Stone Bridge, the son of the People’s Commissar of Aviation Industry of the USSR A.I. Shakhurina first shot his friend Nina - the daughter of the Soviet ambassador to Mexico Konstantin Umansky, and then shot himself. During the investigation, it turned out that Volodya Shakhurin led the youth anti -Soviet organization, called the "Fourth Empire". This organization included children of the highest Soviet party-government elite. They say that Stalin, having listened to the report on the results of the investigation, said briefly: "wolf" ".
This story is the central plot of the novel by A. Terekhov "Stone Bridge", which received the Big Book Prize in 2009. In 2020, the series “Wolf” dedicated to the “Wolf’s case” was shot.
Based on documents from the investigation of the R-788 "Fourth Empire" (Central Archive of the FSB of the Russian Federation), the author reconstructed the events preceding the shots on the ladder of the Bolshoi Stone Bridge
