Book O.G. Goncharenko, talks about the hard life of soldiers and officers of the Russian army in forced emigration in 1920-1970. The author, using little -known sources, recreates in detail the life and life of exiles in the camps on Turkish land and in the countries of dispersion, shows the process of turning the Russian army into a Russian National Union (ROVS), the struggle of the active part of emigration against the special services of the USSR. Particular attention is paid to the period of World War II and the participation of the ROVS officials in it, as well as the fate of these people after 1945. The book complements the story about the political and spiritual heritage of officer unions and military organizations.
