South of Russia has always played an important role in the history of the country. The Cossack anti -Bolshevik movement in the south of Russia became a factor on which much in the development of society depended throughout the 20th century. The “Don Army” is the armed forces of the not long existing Cossack state - the Democratic Republic "Almighty Don Army". The Don Army was created by the Cossacks and officers who rebelled against the Bolsheviks and became the most large army of the White South in its confrontation with the Red North.
