On the 400th anniversary of the Romanov’s house, unique historical documents are published - the diaries of the last imperial couple. The reader has the opportunity to directly compare the forced notes of the monarch and his wife - often about the same events.
The first volume includes the diaries of the last months of reign and the period of house arrest in Tsarskoye Selo - before the family was sent to the Provisional Government to Siberia.
In the second volume, diaries are presented from the beginning of expulsion to Siberia until the last day before the execution of the royal family in the basement of the "Ipatievsky House".
The publication is illustrated by documentary photo materials and is provided with a detailed scientific comment in which archival documents, Romanov’s correspondence, memoirs and diaries of close persons are widely used
