The author considers the "unusual" features of the Dead Sea and the riddles and legends generated by them from the standpoint of a geologist engaged in the problems of salts and the related various "salt community", taking into account the established patterns of the structure and the formation of this "community". The key features of the geology of the saline graben structure and the specific features of the catch of the Dead Sea are highlighted. A regeneration (allochtonic) model of the origin of salts performing the graben of the Dead Sea is proposed. The author connects the genesis of brine of the Dead Sea with the Golocene and modern ascending unloading of deep brine. Modern and ancient analogues of the saline system of the Dead Sea are selected. The analysis of fluctuations in the level of brine and bottom of the Dead Sea was performed and the impact on these fluctuations of pulsation was evaluated

The probability of interpretation of the "Sodom events" as manifestations of active episodes of the life of queen-salt subsoil, initiated by seismic-sectonic activity, is shown. The author’s vision of the nature of the saline system of the Dead Sea as the focus of the ancient and modern unloading of the subsoil is original.
