The book talks about the everyday life of the inhabitants of Mikhailovsky - the estate belonging to the family of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. In the center of the narrative, not only the two years that Alexander Sergeyevich spent here uncontrollably in exile (from August 1824 to September 1826), but also other visits to Pushkin to the Pskov land, where he returned many times more. The author seeks to trace everything, even the smallest details of Pushkin’s life, his daily impressions, communication, etc., based on the indisputable fact that the circumstances of everyday life for any person are no less important than large historical events and fractures of the eras and it is from them that Human life is mainly developing: "omnipotent god of details" stands behind all its vicissitudes.
