Despite the fact that every year the events of the war years are farthering into the past, interest in the history of the Great Patriotic War in our society does not weaken. The publication, prepared by leading military historians at the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, is dedicated to the events of 1942-1943. - The period of the indigenous fracture in the war, when the Red Army finally pulled out a strategic initiative from the Wehrmacht’s hands, and the Soviet economy, transferred to military rails, earned full capacity, surpassing the economic capabilities of the Hitler Reich.
Readers are offered to the attention of the readers, as well as first -introduced archival documents related to the combat operations of the Red Army, partisan detachments and the exploits of the workers of the Soviet rear.
