The work of the Doctor of Historical Sciences N.V. Korshunova is devoted to the analysis of the political doctrine of Emperor Paul I, the forms and methods of its implementation. The author presents a characteristic of the internal and foreign policy of Emperor Paul I, the reasons that prompted the emperor to conduct certain transformations are indicated. Particular attention was paid to the political opposition, which began to take shape in the second year of the reign of the emperor. Including in detail the organization of the conspiracy and regicide on March 11, 1801, the work showed why the political doctrine of Emperor Paul led him to collapse
