The book summarizes the material collected by the author in 26 years. It contains a detailed chronicle of the important historical events of the city of Veliky Ustyug and the region of the late XX - early XXI centuries, as well as, in addition to the name of the historical event, and curious facts are also placed. You can trace the fate of enterprises, organizations, institutions, find out the honored people of our city and the region.
The author graduated in 1992 by the Historical Department of the Vologda State Pedagogical Institute. He has been working as a teacher of history and social studies in city schools for 29 years, is the author of local history works published on the pages of the newspaper “Soviet Thought” and local history almanacs "Great Ustyug" (production 3, 4)
The book is intended for a wide range of readers: Ustyuzhan, guests of the city interested in the history and culture of our city and the region
