The book is devoted to some issues of the history of the murder of the royal family and the investigation of this crime. The author’s focus is the history of the documents of the white investigation, the finds on the ground in 1918–1919. And the conclusions made from this, questions about the so -called secret inscriptions in the Ipatiev House and the sanction of the highest Soviet leadership for execution. On the basis of exclusively documentary materials, the author shows the hypothetics or insolvency of a number of versions that exist around the “royal business”.
