The author considers law as a unique artifact of social orderliness (according to ancient Roman lawyers, Jus boni et aequi - "art of good and fair") in the struggle of mankind with many -sided social chaos. The view of law as a normative form of human freedom in his social interaction is defended. Key problems of legal doctrine and practice are analyzed in the sociocultural context of modern domestic and global changes. The legal problems of the development of Russia raised in the book are highlighted taking into account the changes made to the Constitution in 2020
