Reprint from the publication of St. Petersburg. 1835, when publishing this book, work was carried out to clean the text from blots and artifacts, and lost parts were restored. On the uprising of Svidrigailo (1432 - 1439) - a speech by Russian, Ukrainian and Lithuanian princes, led by the Grand Duke of Lithuania Svidrigailo for the expansion of their political rights in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The growth of the influence in the principality of Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian Orthodox princes under Svidrigailo (1430-1432) caused the resistance of the Lithuanian princes, who, with the support of the Polish aristocrats, proclaimed the Grand Duke of Sigismund Keistutovich. Svidrigailo concluded an alliance with the Teutonic and Livonian crusaders and, relying on the Orthodox feudal lords and townspeople of the Polotsk, Vitebsk, Smolensk, Chernihic-Seversky, Kyiv, Volyn lands and eastern Podolia, began the struggle against Sigismund Keystutovich. Svidrigailo was helped by the Grand Duke of Tverskaya, Austrian and Czech mercenaries. The book is replete with footnotes, applications and links to documents of that time and scientific works of the XVIII-XIX centuries
